To start things off I just want to inform you on what I will be talking about. For most part I will be talking about college basketball and mainly about the UW mens bball and Gonzaga hoops as well. Currently the huskies are a depressing
1-6 in Pac-10 play and
11-7 overall. Kind of a sad record after starting the season as one the nations hottest teams. UW is led by a group of very young and talented players consisting of Freshman
Spencer Hawes, a seattle native whoes averaging
15.2ppg and
5.9rpg, Soph.
John Brockman, from Snohomish averaging
13.2ppg and
9.7 rpg, Fresh.
Quincy Pondexter, a fan favorite averages
13.1ppg and
4.7rpg, Soph.
Justin Dentmon, also a fan favorite is averaging
10.4 ppg and 4.9apg. Last but not least, the oldest of the bunch is
Senior Ryan Appleby,Stanwood native and Florida transfer who is averaging
9.6ppg and
2.3apg. Huskies news and updates:- The dawgs were beat up pretty bad Saturday night by the #21 nationally ranked WSU cougars.
- Thursday night 8p.m, the dawgs face a very dangerous and talented 6-1 in pac-ten play and 18-1 overall team in the Oregon Ducks, currently ranked 7th in the counrty.
- Oregon's star point gaurd Aaron Brooks will sit out of thursdays game as final punishment for elbowing huskies Appleby last season.
